Same thing is currently happening to me. I can use my VISA card in person and via Paypal with no problem, so I KNOW THE F%$*ING card is valid.
This problem started for me after I tried to use Google Wallet to pay for android apps, which doesn't work either. I am not going to spend 2.5 hours trying to figure this out like others have. Apple sent me the message that my account was accessed via another computer and I had to re-validate it. I did access the account by my lap top FFS. But the re-validation info I entered into iTunes is VALID - again, I know this because the card is being accepted IN PERSON.
Did not work for me though......
I have the similar problem... I was using Debit Master Card for a while, but nearly two weeks my "payment method was declined"... Also I tried different cards and still the same result.
Please help to fix this problem
The same to me. I've been using this card for a year and now it tells me that it is declined. Hate this!! Apply must resolve this issue or tell what is happening with them!
Guys listen up! I contacted the itunes support and told me to feedback about this problem.The more feedbacks are about this problem the quicker this will be fixed! So start feedbacking!!

I agree with this. I started off liking my iMac, and after having paid £1000 for it you would think it would last. Now after two years, the superdrive won't read discs, the bluetooth keyboard has stopped working and various other problems with the OS. And no help from Apple. They are literally useless. Last time I am buying a Mac. Greedy corporate ********.
i had that problem today.... it was making me mad because i wanted to update my apps to the latest update and i couldnt cuz it said payment authorazation failed..... and i looked and i was like thats why so thanks so much for your help 🙂
I had the same problem today with my AppleID. On the payment section, on iTunes and App Store, on my iPhone, it was asking me to complete the security code for my credit card. When I completed it, I got an error message, that my payment method had been declined.
I contact iTunes support and althought I was advised that I would be responded within 24 to 48 hours, I did receive an email reply in less than 30 minutes.
The reply was to advise me that the problem was with my credit card security rather than Apple.
I contacted the security section of my credit card company and they did confirm that a "hold" had been put on my card because of certain international transactions that had been attempted to be processed on my card. Once I confirmed my identity, by answerring the various security questions, I was then able to confirm that the transactions were correct and the "hold" was taken off my account.
I then went back onto "iTunes & App Store on my phone and completed my credit card details, without any problems.
There are lots and lots and lots of posts on this and many similar threads. The problems are not caused by Apple but instead are triggered by security issues with our debit and credit cards, that only we can resolve through our card companies.

My fone is the same it keeps saying that my payment method is declined but everything else in my details is right how do i fix the problem because I can't even use iTunes and it's ******* me off SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!

Please read my post, just above yours. You credit card details are probably correct. The problem is that your credit card company have declined the payment for security reasons because they suspect that someone has taken your details and are using your card online without your knowledge. Phone your credit card company and you should be able to get them to take the 'block' off your card, once you can assure them that you are you. I hope this helps. :)
I have just had this same problem payment method declined to update a free game which really p***ed me off but just transferred just a little bit more money into my bank account and then put in same card details as before when prompted. It accepted it straight away and updated my game so I am thinking u need a certain amount of money in your bank for it not to decline, Problem Solved, thank god, been playing same game which gives daily bonuses for over 3 weeks lol.

I guess, Apple has not taken the app debt we bought several days ago. But inconvenient for customers, clients want to buy a app or game to be purchased.
Well it still happens. I've been having this issue for a week now and i just posted a message today.
Also, I don't have VISA, I have Master Card!!! .... 😕
