I have 2 network HP Printers. Model Laserjet Pro CM1415fnw Color MFP. These are connected to a cabled network which is also connected to a UBIQUITI Wi-Fi network. Before AirPrint I could easily print over Wi-Fi directly to my printers from laptops, IPad and IPhones, since AirPrint,Wi-Fi printing no longer works. How can I fix this?
Thanks for the prompt reply. My printers (2) are connected by Ethernet cable to a network which is also connected to a Wi-Fi network. I used to be able to print over the Wi-Fi and send a file from my phone > Wi-Fi > HP Printers. Yes since it has been a long time, mostly likely about 5 years. As this feature was seldomly used it wasn’t missed, since COVID, users have been again been trying to use this functionality which has not been available.
Your printer must be connected via Wi-Fi for AirPrint to work. However, AirPrint has been around for 10 years. Do you mean your printers stopped working 10 years ago?
It has never been possible to use AirPrint with a hard-wired Ethernet printer. However, there are apps that you can install on a computer that will allow you to AirPrint to any connected printer. Perhaps that is how it used to work. Printopia is one such app; there are others.
