While I'm on a video call on zoom on my brand new Macbook Pro M1, everything I do on my mac becomes very slow - typing on Whatsapp Desktop client, typing in Slack, it all becomes SUPER slow. how come?

Have solved this by using the dongle for the MX Keys.
I assume you are also using a headset for a videocall which is connected via bluetooth? I believe the bluetooth channel couldn't handle videocall / keyboard & mouse. So using the dongle solved the issue for me!

Hey, I am having the same issue with a MacBook Air M1.
What I noticed is that this is only happening with my bluetooth keyboard, not with my standard macbook keyboard.
I have a logitech mx keys.
Do you notice the same?
Yup - also with MX Keys :(
Actually I used MX Keys + AirPods Max, but today I switched to Keychron K4, and still with the AirPods Max.
