How can I specify the port VPN server using mac os?

For example, my server is with port 5555

How can I specify it in the settings when creating L2TP connection?

L2TP VPN Catalina I am not an IT person. I am just a loyal lifetime Mac user. I have a major issue right now with Apple. I cannot connect to L2TP VPN since using Catalina (which came preinstalled on my MacBook Pro 15inch). I need to be able to access Remote Desktop for work and to do this I need to first connect to my work server via VPN. I am able connect without any issues on my Mac Pro desktop, which is still running Mojave (and which I am terrified to upgrade to Catalina). I have read that Apple has removed VPN connectivity via L2TP, even though system preferences still allows it to be set up. I have tried third party VPN software such as VPN Tracker but it does not work either. Many people seem to have this issue and have not been able to find a solution. Can Apple please resolve this issue urgently?

How to setup a SSL based VPN in Mac without using any third party application I am trying to setup a new VPN connection using Network settings inside System Preferences. While setup, it give 3 option to select VPN type, as listed below: - L2TP over IPSec - Cisco IPSec - IKEv2 The VPN server that we have is SSL based. Does Mac has support to connect to SSL based VPN using Native In-Built tools ? If yes, then how to setup and add login details ? As of now, we are forced to use a third-party application named FortiClient to help serve the purpose. L2TP issue on Ventura? I had been using macOS Big Sur with two L2TP VPN configurations with no problems. I have now built a fresh laptop running macOS Ventura 13.0.1 and having problems with one of these VPN configurations. Both configurations are for connecting to devices acting as L2TP servers, one is a Draytek ADSL router and one is a SonicWALL Firewall. I can successfully connect to the Draytek router, this being both the ADSL router and the VPN server does not have the VPN server behind a NAT gateway. The SonicWALL at a different site is however behind another ADSL router which is performing NAT. In this second case the ADSL router doing the NAT has been configured to forward all the L2TP required ports to the SonicWALL. This works fine with older versions of macOS! It is apparently not working with macOS Ventura 13.0.1 I am therefore wondering if macOS Ventura has broken the ability to traverse NAT? Note: The error message I get is very basic as below Tue Dec 6 17:22:31 2022 : IPSec connection started Tue Dec 6 17:22:31 2022 : IPSec phase 1 client started Tue Dec 6 17:22:31 2022 : IPSec phase 1 server replied Tue Dec 6 17:23:01 2022 : IPSec connection failed Or if you prefer the GUI
