My laptop backup wrote over my iCloud backup. Does my recent iCloud backup still exist somewhere?

I recently needed to do an iPhone restore off my laptop (last backup was from Sept). My most recent iCloud backup was from 2 days ago, but now from my newly restored iPhone from 3 months ago cannot recognize that a recent iCloud backup has happened and instead thinks the most recent one was in September.

Is there a way I can access the true most recent backup, or has it now been written over? iTunes says the most recent iCloud was in September, and my phone thinks it hasn't done an iCloud backup yet.

If I'm somehow able to find that iCloud backup again on this phone, that would be terrific, but if not, it's not a huge deal. I managed to save this phone from being bricked via shutdown loop using my laptop backup, so at least it's working again. All I've lost are 3 months of texts.

iPhone 5s, iOS 12

The iTunes backup is on your computer and iCloud backup is on iCloud. For restoring and iPhone from an iCloud backup you do not need a computer.

Restore or set up your device from an iCloud backup

  1. On your iOS or iPadOS device, go to Settings > General > Software Update. ...
  2. Make sure you have a recent backup to restore from. ...
  3. Go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.
  4. On the Apps & Data screen, tap Restore from iCloud Backup, then sign in with your Apple ID.

My home button doesn't work and I need the accessibilities feature to use a virtual home button. Last time I checked, my home button needed to work while navigating the phone after a factory reset (thank goodness the computer backup can override that). Is there a way I can do the iCloud backup restoration without the factory reset? Or a way to navigate the factory reset without the home button?
