Fitness+ and the apple tv app on roku

I got 6 months free with my Apple Watch and I’m certainly not going to actually pay for this if I can’t cast it to my TV. how stupid. As if Apple products aren’t expensive enough, they have to make it harder for those of us who don’t choose to have every single device in our home Apple branded?

Can you tell me which category my feedback should go under? I don't think it belongs under "Apple TV app"

Does anyone know why this doesn’t work? Why would Apple prevent any of these solutions from working? I don’t understand the reasoning.

It looks like it isn't working due to the restrictions that many companies now how involving casting their content onto a third party device. Same reason when you try to screen record on Netflix, the screen is going to be black.

My guess is roku is holding Apple hostage for some $$$$

They are a pretty powerful platform now and I'm sure they get some good money for the Peloton app, so why not Apple with even deeper pockets.

Apple will eventually pay and all will be right .

Well dang it! You are correct. I just signed up last night and tried to mirror it now and all you said happened. Have you gotten any good responses on how to play it on the TV? I have the appleTV streaming app just on a Roku as well.

Dude chill they didn’t demo airplay did they? No fitness plus is interactive with the watch and your phone iPad etc. It works great. The service price is low for the amazing content you get and it’s based on an expectation that many customers will want to buy an Apple TV. This is how Apple works why is this a surprise to people!

You can take an old iPad or another phone and mirror it and put it on camera and video the screen of the other phone. This is the only method I’ve seen that works - or just spend $100-200 on used/new Apple TV. Must be new 4K or HD edition.

The AppleTV app isn’t worth it either. They gave me a free year subscription after I got my new iPhone. After searching for fitness videos, I discovered that you have to pay an additional fee for each episode. They are such crooks. I hate that I love their devices!
