Fitness+ and the apple tv app on roku

I did some research before I decided to go ahead and subscribe to fitness+. In doing this research I discovered that I could stream all of the fitness+ preview videos to my roku using airplay. This sold me on subscribing to fitness+. However, once I started using the service I discovered that the actual workout videos do not stream via airplay, so I am stuck trying to workout while watching a tiny iphone screen instead of watching my 72 inch TV in my workout room. Will Apple make it possible to stream the actual workout videos via airplay?

I got 6 months free with my Apple Watch and I’m certainly not going to actually pay for this if I can’t cast it to my TV. how stupid. As if Apple products aren’t expensive enough, they have to make it harder for those of us who don’t choose to have every single device in our home Apple branded?

The Fitness+ service seems to fit best with the Apple Watch feedback form, until Fitness+ gets its own feedback page.

@raftgide - have you tried “hard-wiring” you iPhone/iPad to your TV with a HDMI cable and adapter?

I would be interested to know if that works.

That may be true, however I am able to stream, cast, airplay or mirror lots of stuff. including Netflix, Amazon, Disney +, Youtube, etc. Pretty much everything but Apple Fitness +.

Yes have tried this it shows the metrics, the audio, but not the video sadly

My issue exactly, tries AirPlay on an older Apple TV and a new Roku, and tried HDMI to iPhone adapter and it will pay the preview. Not the video. Why? Glad to see it’s not just me. 🤬
