I've switched to DuckDuckGo, but what email is SAFE to use?

Is it safe to use an existing gmail account with Apple / Safari? What good is all the privacy I'm seeking if I use anything related to Google?

Does blocking “Remote Content” in the Mail App create make-shift Private Browsing e-mail? I recently received an email from DuckDuckGo about them introducing email accounts to act as a gatekeeper for emails, removing trackers then forwarding to your preferred email address. They market this as Private Email. I have my Mail App preferences set to not load any remote content. Would something like a tracker built into an email message be “remote content” and therefore not loaded or tracking my activity? The preference section just says “images or content” I am already using mailbox aliases to hide my actual email address and last name. Thank you. P.S. Sorry if this would have been better in the iCloud for Mac Community.

Is there a problem with using gmail with iCloud on apple mail app on iMac and iphone iMac and iPhones and MacBook Air when using iCloud email and including gmail on the same systems on mail appI keep getting Google stating gmail settings are not correct and it is not happy with being on iMac because iMac can change or delete their emails etc. I am also informed by Safari that they have blocked 20+ trackers profiling us this week. I want Apple and iCloud to control what is happening on emails and want security has anyone else had this problem lovemyapplemac
