Randomly failing alarms on iPhone 12 mini

I rely on this alarm for my daughter’s seizure meds. She needs to take them at certain times. So far, the alarm has failed twice at the same time on both the phone and the iPad Pro I have. Fortunately, I remembered within the hour. But I’m seriously considering an analog alarm because this smartphone isn’t doing the job anymore. Neither is the iPad.

Does anyone have a fix?

Hey sjbrown,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're experiencing with the alarms for your iPhone and iPad. If we understand correctly, this seems to be happening with a particular alarm you have set. If that's right, and if you haven't already, delete that alarm, and set it up again to see if that helps. More details about managing your alarms can be found in the following guide. There's also a section at the bottom for tips on if your alarm is too quiet or doesn't sound: How to set and manage alarms on your iPhone

You may also want to restart your iPhone and iPad as restarting helps to resolve many odd issues:

Restart your iPhone

Restart your iPad

Let us know how that goes.

Take care.
