iPhone 7 dead but in Recovery Mode
My iPhone 7 completely died on me back in April. Brought it to a local repair shop and they were able to identify the Power IC as being the issue. So they replaced that, and I assume the U2 IC as well, and the phone was fixed.
Fast forward to October, I remembered I needed to backup my phone because my last backup was deleted and I thought my data was saving to icloud but it actually wasn't. I had a long day of work and forgot to back it up. The next morning, I'm using my phone and again it randomly dies on me. Brought it back to the same place as I thought it might be the same issue but they said they replaced parts multiple times and couldn't get it to work.
Then I brought it a place that does microsoldering a couple days ago. Today they told me they tested the phone for power and they see that it is in recovery mode. If I want it fixed without losing data they said I need to get it out of recovery mode otherwise they can only restore and wipe the phone. They told me to try bringing it to Apple first, since they've had some clients in the past have apple get phones out of recovery mode with success. If that doesn't work they said they can recommend me to someone in Boston who specifically specializes in data recovery for phones and computers but said they're very very expensive.
Did my phone go into recovery mode by itself? The only other thing I can think of is that I could've accidentally put it in recovery mode when attempting a hard reset after my phone died on me. But if it actually is a Power IC issue again, like back in April, do I need that replaced first to even be able to take it out of recovery mode?
I don't know what to do. I get sick to my stomach with anxiety every time I think about this because I have 5 years of photos/videos, important files, extremely important notes, etc. at stake. A lot of things that are actually important for my future. If I lose all of it I don't know what I'm going to do.
