erratic mouse behavior in mac mail

If we understand correctly, the mouse cursor starts moving slowly when in the Mail app on the Mac. One thing you can do is to rebuild the mailbox incase it is having trouble loading and causing the cursor to be slow. Also, try booting using safe mode and see if the issue persists in Mail.

Do you have a lot of emails?

Does it move normally, but slows within the Mail window?

Is the cursor slow in any other app, or at any other time?

1. "In the Mail app  on your Mac, select a mailbox in the sidebar.
2. Choose Mailbox > Rebuild."

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Shut Down.
2. After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds.
3. Restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key.
4. Release the Shift key when you see the login window.

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Shut Down.
