I am a Windows user beginning to switch my personal things over to my new MacBook Air.
I know there is an application named Parallels that creates a virtual Windows machine so you can run Windows on the map. If I go ahead with it, how does it work, I would mostly be using Power Bi,
so once Parallels is loaded, I would download PBi and it would be installed inside the Parallels data.
Not sure I want to muck up my beautiful Air with junk!!! Thanks
Yes, Parallels will allow you to run Windows in a virtual machine on your Mac. You'd need to buy both Parallels and a license for Windows (the latter is not included with Parallels). I have used it in the past, switching is seamless it works well for most software (mainly it's not ideal for gaming, but fine for productivity software).

I have Parallels and works most of the time however as noted not yet working with M1 design. I have tried the beta version but will not work with my X86 Windows program inside Parallels. Not sure it ever will.
Thanks for the response, my Mac is the M1. Yes, I understand it is in beta. I think it will ship in January.
