Accidentally deleted some photo thumbnails from iPhone. The full versions are in iCloud. I can see them on iCloud.com. How do i get my iphone to “see” those photos and make them viewable in my Photos library again?

They are not there in the deleted folder. The photos were not deleted. They are in iCloud. It is only the “reference” low weight photos that are missing from the phone. This happened when I shut off iCloud for photos while in process of uploading to the cloud because I ran out of iCloud storage. I clicked on a prompt that removed the low weight photos from my phone. I thought the full res versions wd stay on my phone but they were already uploaded to iCloud and removed from my phone. So now I have neither the “lower weight” versions nor the full res versions on the phone, even though they are in iCloud (and also backed up on my large desktop Photos library that does not use iCloud because it’s too big). I want the phone to recognize the full icloud library that is there.

Putting the missing photos into albums on iCloud.com worked. They now show on my phone again! I just needed to be more patient than a couple of hours. Lol! Thanks for replying foxfifth

I have iCloud back on on the phone and purchased additional iCloud storage, which I wish I would have just done in the first place...
