Bricked 2016 MBP

Hi. I would appreciate any input regarding my 2016 MacBook Pro, I have taken it to an authorized Mac retailer/repair shop, and was told the logic board failed and the battery has swelled. Is there anything I can do to get Apple to compensate me in some way for the cost of this repair? I am very upset that this machine hasn’t lasted very long even though I was extremely careful with it and it was lightly used. The hardware failing isn’t any wrongdoing on my end, so it would be nice to know if there is a recall or something that could help me out with my new expensive paperweight becoming useable again.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

The following link lists all the current service programs/recalls Apple is offering. There are several MacBook Pro plans. Click on those links and enter your machine’s serial number to see if it qualifies for the plan.

There’s a service plan for the 15” McBook Pro battery and dates fall between 2015 and 2017

If your are being told the logic board has failed AND the battery has swelled it would probably be cheaper to replace it.

You can be upset as you want but warranties expire and hardware fails. A four year old MacBook Pro is long out of warranty and unless it is covered by a repair service plan Apple has no responsibility to compensate you. That applies to automobiles, expensive electronic gear, and every other product that has a limited warranty.
