New Music Skips after playing for thirty seconds or so

After playing roughly thirty seconds of a song from one of the new albums I added, it skips to the next song and pauses. This only happens to songs that I've added recently. extremely frustrating. I've restarted my phone, that did nothing. Please help.

iPhone 6s, iOS 14

Hi nokocchii,

We see you're having some issues with your music skipping and pausing unexpectedly. We certainly understand the need to be able to listen to your content without issues. We'd like to help.

As you noted it's only happening to the newly added songs, we'd like to try a test out. Remove the album/songs by tapping the three dots (...) next to the album or song, and select Remove. Then, try to add it back again and see if it's resolved. If not, try forcing the Music app to close with these steps: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If it's still having issues after that, we'd suggest signing out at Settings > [your name] > Media & Purchases > Sign Out. Then, restart once more and sign back in. Please note that when subscribed to Apple Music, this step does cause any music saved for offline use to no longer be downloaded to the device.

Take care!

Hello nokocchii,

We certainly understand the need to have things working well, particularly on your new iPhone.

Just to help cover all bases, are you using any kind of accessories when listening to the songs on the iPhone? This could include things like the Lightning to 3.5 mm adapter, EarPods, or other headphones and adapters. If you are, try disconnecting any accessories from the device, turn off Bluetooth, and see if it plays fine now from the iPhone's speakers. This would just help to get things isolated down.

Have a good one.

nokocchii,

Thanks for clarifying that. With regards to not being able to sync the music back, are you getting any error messages at all? Are you using a Mac or Windows PC to sync? Try seeing if there are any updates available for macOS/Windows, but be sure to back up first. Similarly, if you're using iTunes, see if there are any updates for that as well: Update to the latest version of iTunes

If you happen to be using any kind of antivirus, security software, networking software, etc., try temporarily disabling/uninstall them.

Cheers.

I removed the songs from my phone, and then added them back via my computer, and encountered the same issue once the songs were back on my phone. Force closing does nothing, restarting does nothing. This is music that I'm adding from my computer, not buying from iTunes.

I then encountered a new issue.

I decided to try and delete the songs from my computers iTunes, and then re add them to my library, and then my phone again. They would not transfer to my phone. No matter how many times I clicked add to device, it did not add to my device. This is a brand new iPhone 12 mini, I don't understand why this is happening.
