Why does iPhone frontal camera distort my face?

When I view my face using frontal camera, everything is fine. But when I pressed shot button, every time the picture was left with a distorted face.

Just wondering has anyone else met this problem before? Hope Apple engineer can see this and increase your algorithm. If the algorithm would not help, please don't mess up. Thanks!

It sounds like the camera on your iPhone is distorting your image.

Here are some resources that may help:

Review If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working
See if this happens with multiple apps to see if it's isolated to a certain app or the camera.
Review Use Camera settings on iPhone.
- If you have an iPhone 12, see if "Turn scene detection off and on" and "Turn lens correction off and on" makes a difference.
