Projector only displays desktop, can't find ARRANGEMENT Tab on DISPLAYS.

When using the projector, I only get to see the desktop background but no other display on it. I can also see the task bar with the Apple Logo and some drop down menu, but nothing else shows on screen. When checking the Display from the Systems Preferences it does not show the Arrangement Tab and when I hit options to Detect Display, nothing shows up. Can anyone help me please?

I have the Mac Air 2020 with the recent Big Sur OS. I am also using the EPSON EBS41. I have the USB-C adapter to USB-A, and another cable for USB-A to USB-B.

Hey ichtusknex,

We see you're having an issue using your Epson projector with your MacBook Air.

As the projector is displaying a picture, we know the connection is secure, as such the next recommendation we'd make would be to check for any driver updates to your projector. This can be done at Epson's support site.

If there is an update, take a moment to install it and test the issue. After that, take a look through the steps here to confirm the steps to use an external display with your Mac:

Should the problem persist from there, we'd recommend reaching out to Epson for further assistance.

Take care.
