Epson VS330 projector no longer works with my new iMac

I upgraded my Mac desktop earlier this month, and yesterday I discovered that my Epson VS330 projector picked up only my desktop background when connected.

It was running fine on my mid-2010 Mac and El Capitan, with a 21-inch monitor. Now, with a new iMac and Big Sur, and with a 27-inch monitor, my projector won’t pick up any subject matter on the screen. No icons, no photos, nothing except the background image on the desktop.

I have been connecting my projector to my desktop with a USB cable running from a USB port on the iMac to the USB-B port on the projector. This has always worked before.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Sounds like the setup is in Extended Desktop Mode and the Arrangement has changed from before.

If you want to display an open window panel on the projector?

Simply drag the window panel over to the extended Desktop Projector.

If you can not find the Projector by dragging a window panel off to the right or left?

Go to Apple . System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement and relocate the Projector.

If you want the projector to Mirror what is showing on your iMac?

Go to Apple > System Preferences > Displays > click the Arrangement tab > check Mirror Displays.
