HomePod Minis cannot be set up for home theater audio. That requires its bigger sibling.

You can add HomePod Minis, but not as default speakers. Only as ad hoc temporary speakers, similar to headphones.

Hi Jksomers33,

We understand that your Apple TV isn't detecting the pair of HomePod mini speakers you set up. To clarify, are the HomePods and the Apple TV all set up in the Home app? If so, we can use the article below to isolate the problem a bit more.

Use AirPlay to stream audio

If these steps don't resolve the issue, we'll want to make sure that all of the devices are currently connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
