My disk "C" is a SSD, not a disk and it is nearly full with windows and applications stuff. How do I tell iTunes to use disk "D", which is a disk and has plenty of space to do an update?

Note iTunes will still check the C: drive for free space even when you move the storage for the backup data in this way, however should enough room be found then the update or restore should be able to complete successfully without using up space on the C: drive.
