Phone keeps dropping AirPods

Help!! I’ve just got a brand new pair of AirPods and they connect to my phone and then continually drop and reconnect over and over I cannot listen to anything with them. I believe it’s a phone is sure because I e tried the AirPods on my sisters phone that is the same as mine a 6s and they work just fine. Help.

Airpods pro 2 disconnecting when answering call I just bought some airpods pro 2 yesterday. I’m currently using an Iphone Xs. Everytime I answer a call with the headphones they disconnect and take about 10-15 sec until they reconnect. I’m on ios 16.1.1. The store replaced me the airpods as they thought it’s a hardware the defect but it’s the same with the new pair. I called the apple support and they couldn’t hell me as well and told me to reset my phone and update it again with the computer but nothing helped. I’m really hoping that this is something that can be resolved with a software update otherwise I just threw 300€ into the waste. I read on reddit that multiple people have this issue using the iphone Xs. Please let me know if there is a fix ASAP

Airpods Pro 2 Connectivity Issues During Calls Devices: Airpods Pro Gen 2 iPhone XS ios : 16.1.1 Airpods pro gen 2 firmware: 5B58 My new airpods pro gen 2 do not work during incoming calls while it is clearly connected to my iPhone. Phone rings, i put my airpods on, it says ‘airpods connected’ on the screen, i answer but no sound. Also, caller cant hear me either. Same when i’m already using my airpods (listening to music), phone rings, i answer but nothing. Volume is up, sound output set to airpods, i confirm that airpods are connected but no sound. Mic not working too. For some reason it works when i am the one making the call. Also, couple of times it lost connection to my iPhone while listening to music. Tried resetting airpods connection(hard reset), restarting phone, resetting network settings on iPhone. Pretty much everything. Now what?

Issues since 5B58 firmware update? Running the latest software on my iPhone 14 Pro and iPad Air 4. Ever since AirPods firmware 5B58 was released, my AirPods Pro (1st Gen, manufactured in 2021) have been nearly worthless. The right Airpod constantly disconnects and is very difficult to get to reconnect to either device. If I pause a show and then hit play later, I’m getting intermittent sounds, as though I am a long way away from the source Bluetooth signal and it’s cutting out (even though I’m within two feet). And I’m getting recurrent crackling sounds in certain circumstances. They were working perfectly until this week, but now super frustrating. Anyone else experiencing issues?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with your AirPods staying connected to your iPhone. We'd like to help.

When do you notice this happens with your AirPods? Are you using a specific app, like Music or Phone, or does it happen with all apps and features? Do you have any other Bluetooth devices connected to your device? Do they disconnect as well or is it just the AirPods? Can you Update iOS on iPhone to the newest version if you're not already running it? Have you tried to Reset your AirPods? If not, give that a try and then tell us if that helps.
