iTunes list view

With the latest update to iTunes, I’ve lost the ability to search my music library by full or partial words within a song title in a “list” format.

In the past I could type in a word (“bell” for instance) and I would see a list view with a display of all the songs that had that word in the title, along with fields for the artist name, album and time of song.

This has been an invaluable aid to me in producing my weekly radio program.

The updated display shows the song titles in a more shorthand, multi-column view, without the information described above.

Is there a way to either recreate the previous display in the new iTunes or switch back to the previous version?

View > Show Filter Field. It puts a new search oval at the upper right that behaves in the expected way. BTW, make sure you are in Songs view.
