UPS returned my item for no invoice and now I don't know to do.

I live in Canada now and I ordered an ipad online. From the UPS the parcel was from USA. When I track the parcel on UPS it said that the parcel was sent back to the sender and delivered to the sender because there was no invoice to cross the boarder. So I called Apple and asked for a refund. Now the order status on apple website has become to "please return the item to apple". But I don’t have the item, actually the item even didn’t reach Canada! And I was still charged by Apple for 1000 CAD. What should I do? can I get my money back? I'm really upset now.
