Will deleting a folder from an external drive delete the original folder in mac library?
Hi.
I was wondering if anyone could help with the following question:
Some time ago, I copied the folder "OneNote" to an external drive. The folder contained OneNote data, as far as I know, and was located in library/containers/microsoft OneNote/data/library/application support/microsoft user data.
As I tried to delete the folder from the external drive, I got the message, that some topics could not be deleted and that I had to make sure that they were not locked or marked as read-only or "no acces". Then I deleted a folder, which the folder "OneNote" was stored in (on the external drive). That way, the folder "OneNote" finally got deleted from the external drive.
I was wondering, if deleting the folder "OneNote" from the external drive could have deleted the original folder on my mac or some files in it, since i got the message that some topics were locked, marked as read-only or "no acces" the first time I tried to delete it from the external drive? So far everything on OneNote works and from what I can see, I have not lost any data.
Thanks in advance.
