My iPhone auto dims randomly.

I have adjusted everything I can on my phone and it still does it. I know the dimmer screen is supposed to be better for your eyes I guess but my vision isn’t that good so the brighter for me the better. What else can I do?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 12

Go to Settings/Accessibility - Display & Text Size and turn off Auto-Brightness (at the bottom).

The screen will also dim a short time before the screen locks, as warning. Tapping anywhere on the screen will wake it again. If you don’t want this to happen go to Settings/Accessibility/Face ID & Attention and turn on Attention Aware Features. Then if you are looking at the screen it won’t dim.
