Iphone 12 Dual SIM in the US

Hi all, can I buy a Dual SIM "SIM tray" after I first bought an iPhone 12 in the US ?

I understand it is just a different SIM tray, is that correct ?

No. For dual physical sims you need a Chinese model with the dual sim contacts inside the phone. The sim tray alone does not make your phone be able to read 2 physical sim cards.
