Apple watch won’t pair to peloton bike+

Have you powered the bike down and turned it back on? The recalibration worked until I powered it off. So far all the solutions have been temporary.

I just had the same issue after a power outage in my area. the calibration of the resistance worked!

I’ve had the same issue the last few days. I did the recalibration and will test it the next time I ride the Peloton. Peloton went through a firmware update the other day and I suspect that’s the issue as my Apple Watch synced fine with the Peloton prior to it and then started having this issue afterwards.

Had/having the same issue. Deleting/resetting app didn't work, but the recalibration worked. HOWEVER, after my ride I shut down my bike and when I started it up again the problem returned! Now I have to recalibrate every time I turn the bike on!! Anybody else having this issue?

I just got off the phone with Peloton support. They said DO NOT keep recalibrating - it will screw up the Bike! They ran me through all types of troubleshooting but nothing worked. So they are going to report this to their engineers and look into the problem.

FYI, the issue persisted even after we updated our phones/watches, so it can't be tied to the new iOS update.

I tried the re-calibrate and it did not work so I am now trying the lengthier solution noted above that deletes the apps and rebooting the devices. Next time I take a ride, I’ll check it out. Recently, peloton went through a firmware update and I think this issue started happening for me after that update. So perhaps it’s a bug in the firmware.

I turned off the power and turn it back on after recalibrate and it doesn’t work. However, it did work after the recalibration. But I can’t risk recalibrate each time I ride. It’s not good for the Bike. It’s recommended to recalibrate once when you first got your bike. I just send Peloton an email regarding this matter. Hopefully they can resolve this problem soon.

Hi, I just wanted to update on more testing result. I just tried to connect again with my wife’s watch, on watchOS 7.1, this is first time I use this watch to connect, and same thing it wouldn’t connect. My own watch is on watchOS 7.3. Both don’t work. So I think the problem is definitely on Peloton’s end.

It only works when you recalibrate, but if you power off the bike and turn it back on again it won’t work. So that means you have to recalibrate each time in order for it to work. Peloton support suggests not to recalibrate the bike all the time it’s not good for the bike in the long run. My only hope is to wait for the peloton engineer team to work to resolve this problem.

I agree. This also worked for me. My wife has a series 2 watch and hers was working fine. My series 6 wouldn't connect. Just kept saying "Waiting". Firmware and recalibration worked! Thanks!

I just got my Apple Watch and have been so excited. I’ve just wasted an hour trying to troubleshoot this. And now my Peloton won’t even detect my chest strap since I have on the Apple Watch, which is essentially useless during a ride.

I’m suddenly having the same problem too. I could sync my watch as of yesterday and today it just spins and then comes back saying it can’t connect.

Delete which app? Peloton? It doesn’t have anything to do with syncing my Apple Watch for heart rate on the peloton bike+

Same with me. Woke up today and it’s saying it can’t connect. Updated watch software, restarted bike. Nothing is working. Did the thing above and deleted the Peloton app from watch and phone and reinstalled etc and still doesn’t work.

For those of you who have recalibrated, has it continued to work even after you've shut down your bike and turned it back on? Mine worked after recalibration...until I shut down my bike. When I turned it back on the problem returned.
