Airpods Audio & Display Screen Glitching

Recently, my airpods have only been playing in one ear at a time. When I place the left one in on its own, it plays in the left. As soon as I put in the right airpod, the audio switches to the right side. At times, the audio will cut out entirely even if the song or video continues to play. If that doesn't happen, the audio bounces back and forth between both airpods but never plays in both simultaneously. When I connected my airpods to my Iphone, I looked at the pop up display screen to see the battery status. The charge appears for each airpod but never shows both airpods' respective battery next to each other under them as it should. The battery icon and percentage also bounces back and forth between both airpods. So, not only is the audio not heard in both airpods simultaneously, but the charge is only displayed for whatever airpod the audio comes out of. And like I said, it switches back and forth every second or two and the airpods display screen keeps glitching out.

I tried cleaning my airpods and I also reset the connection to my Iphone and Macbook multiple times. and even restarted both my Iphone and Macbook as well. Nothing has worked and the airpods audio and display screen continues to glitch out. If anyone has faced anything like this and knows a fix, please let me know. Thank you.
