exclamation mark in the photo

Hello! on old photos there is an exclamation mark and the photo is not uploaded. gives an error message. iCloud is connected, there is enough memory on the phone. how to fix this problem?

I still have error messages recieving pictures I have error messages that say "the image file .... was not supported and was deleted. I use Iphone XR. this has been happening to me for years. Its usually from my wife, who uses a samsung S9. she is on bell. i am on rogers.

Photos in messages won't load A few months ago, I received an alert that my phone was running low on storage. It suggested that I optimize. I did that. Now every photo/video that was sent in a text message before that is a blank box that says "tap to download". When I tap, either nothing will happen or it turns into a white square with a question mark. Some of those photos I really need! Does anybody know how to fix this??

If you haven't yet, try restarting your iPhone normally, and checking Photos again to see if there's any change.
