OS X Yosemite 10.10 won’t install


I have a 2013 macbook pro and I just wiped the HD and am trying to re-install OS X Yosemite, but when I go into recovery mode and try to re-install OS X Yosemite 10.10 an error message pops up saying “This item is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.” What should I do?

Try booting the laptop into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R or Command + Option + Shift + R.


If you have access to another Mac which is compatible with macOS 10.11 to 10.15, then you can create a bootable macOS USB installer using these instructions:
