MacBook Pro giving Wi-Fi no hardware installed error message

Last night I left my MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave on charge and and then I put it to sleep. After I woke up I went to turn it on. When I opened it it would not wake from sleep and the screen was black and it was very hot and the fan was spinning. I then held down the power button for a couple of seconds after which it rebooted. After restarting it I noticed that the Wi-Fi icon Had an “X” on it, and when I clicked on it it said “Wi-Fi no hardware installed.” I tried resetting the NVRAM and the SMC (System Management Controller), but it was to no avail. After resetting both the SMC and the NVRAM, The Wi-Fi icon still says “Wi-Fi no hardware installed.” When I try to boot the computer in safe mode, the same message appears below the Wi-Fi. I even tried running a hardware diagnostic test by restarting the computer and pressing “D,” but when I tried to do this, an error message shows with a globe icon and a code below that reads “-1005D,” and it fails to perform the hardware diagnostic test. What could be the problem?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14
