Migration Assistant Spinning/Not Working

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) and just got a brand new MacBook Pro. I've followed all the directions, to include updates of both systems. When it comes to selecting what to transfer, it's not showing the old Mac on the new Mac to begin transfer. I have them both connected to a 5G network, so should at least allow me to begin the transfer. Suggestions?!
