Volume

I have an iphone 12 max. Often when i lock my screen while i am listening to music, the volume instantly goes to max. Its happened several times and sometimes hurts my ears when im using airpods.

Hey Lewis-ng9,

Looking over your post, we see that the volume unexpectedly adjusts when you lock your screen.

To aid us in isolating this, can you let us know the following?

Does this only happen with music, and if so are you using the Apple Music app or a third-party one?
Does the volume indicator go to full as well when the volume gets louder?
If the iPhone is in a case, take it out of the case and try testing the issue. Does it persist?
