Screen sharing my 2010 MacBook Pro with High Sierra 10.13.6 OS to Vizio SmartTV?

We upgraded to a newer smarter Vizio TV, V705 series. I used to be able to cable my MacBook Pro with a VGA cable to an RGB input on the old Vizio. Now the inputs have changed, and there is no RGB. I bought a HMDI converter for the 15 pin VGA to fit one of the 3 HMDI inputs, but no inputs are showing a connection. I managed to bluetooth my Mac sound to the sound bar, but there is no connection for the screen to mirror. I've got the highest compatible operating system for my Mac, recently updated, and apparently Mirroring & Airplay are now not available on my Mac? With all these Zoom classes, I expected to participate in, I'm not sure what the problem is? Anybody know how to make this work?

I figured it out! The answer was on the Vizio support page. You can mirror your laptop to TV with Chrome cast. All you do is make sure your Chrome browser is updated, click the 3 little dots on the right top of browser and go to "Cast" and choose your device. Now I have sound and mirroring! So easy! I didn't have to pay for the darn converter after all.
