SIM card

I just purchased the iPhone 12pro, I currently have an iPhone X. When moving my SIM card from the X to the 12pro. Will I be able do it myself and have no problems, or should I take both phones to my carrier store and have them switch out the SIM card, from the iPhone X to the iPhone 12pro?
