gif not working in mac mail
I am attaching a gif to an email but it does not animate when in email body or when received.
I am Catalina
How can I rectify this>

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are unable to send GIF files through the Mail app. We tested this and it appears to be expected behavior, so we would suggest using your webmail or a different mail program to send the file through email. For example, you can log into www.icloud.com on your browser to send emails with GIF files through iCloud.
You can also send GIF files through the Messages app. Check out this article to Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch to be able to send and receive Messages on your Mac.
