Nike Running Club app not reporting accurate heart rate with Apple Watch

I got my new Apple Watch Series 6 Nike Edition a week ago. I have gone out and ran 3 times since then. I either get no heart rate values at all or I get one number (usually too high) and it stays constant for the full duration of the run.

At the end of the run, the Nike Run Club app, under Route Details, says that 'There was not enough data to create a chart" for my Heart Rate. However, I can go into the Health app and it has multiple data points for the period when I was running.

I have the latest version of iOS, WatchOS and NikeRunClub App. I have checked and NRC has access to all the data. What is wrong?

Greetings AlfaCharlie1006,

Thanks for replying back with additional details. We're glad some of the heart rate information is now visible during your runs. To continue personalizing your settings, we recommend the following:

Open this link to Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch.

Scroll down to "Add information from other apps" then follow these steps:

  1. "Open the Health app.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the upper-right corner .
  3. Under Privacy, tap Apps. You can see apps that you already own that are compatible with Health. If you don't see an app, it might not be compatible.
  4. Tap an app and turn on the health categories that you want that app to track.

You might also need to open the app and adjust its settings to allow it to share data with Health."

All the best!

I am not sure if Nike has changed something in their app but I am now getting Heart rate readings during the run. I did install an app called Heart Analyzer and I use it at times during my run to force a more frequent heart rate reads.

During speed intervals, the delayed heart rates makes the functionality almost useless (as it is not updated frequently enough).
