As per subject, I am using Iphone 12 Pro Max (ios 14.3). I am trying to airdrop the photo taken from my phone into my macbook pro (macOS High Sierra) but the photo cannot be open or preview in my macbook. I tried changing the format of my photo to high efficiency or most compatible but they are still not working. PHoto always shows as attached. Can someone help please?

I'm having this same exact issue. If I email the photo to myself, it still won't open on my Macbook. If I send the photo from my ipad, it doesn't work either. It has something to do with the photo coming from an iPhone 12 Pro. Funny enough, if I Airdrop, it's a zero byte size, and if I email, it comes through with a file size that doesn't open. However, if I open the incompatible file from my email in Photoshop and resave it, it will then open.

It seems you're having trouble with opening a picture and we can help.
After the first time this was sent via AirDrop, did you try to resend it?
Perhaps there's an issue with the file that was sent over. Try sending it to yourself via email, AirDrop, or some other method and let us know if it opens correctly.

Tried several times airdropping and emailed to myself but the file just seems damaged.
Tried airdropping my previous photo taken by iphone 7 Plus and they are fine.
It seems that the photo taken by Iphone 12 pro max to be the problem.
