Fastest way to open a new window of an already open application when that application is NOT highlighted
I use OS's multiple desktops prodigiously, and I often find myself wanting to open a new window of an application on one desktop that is already open on another. Prior to Big Sur, I would usually do this by right clicking the app's icon in the dock and selecting "open new window." Big Sur seems to have done away with this. Looking in the system preferences for the dock did not reveal any ways to restore it.
The only way to do this now that I am aware of is to click the dock icon to bring the open app forward (and simultaneously switch to its desktop), then hit cmd + N, then three finger swipe up to show the other desktops, then click and drag the new window to the desktop where I want it. Obviously, this is quite clunky compared to the old method.
Is there any way to accomplish this in Big Sur with only a keystroke or click or two?
