I accidentally clicked on a ups text that I found out later via the news that it has virus / malware. I don't notice any abnormal behavior with my phone, but to be sure how do I check? Or, to be safe should I just erase and restore my phone?

Clicking on a text or email message will not introduce a virus onto your phone.
A non-jailbroken phone cannot get a virus or malware. As long as you did not reply to it, you are safe.
I believe the malware was just to click on the link and I did. Is that the same as opening it? And although my phone is non-jailbroken, does that mean it is still Virus / Malware free?
