I have not used Pages (5.6.2) but when I opened it today for the first time, it said that there was an update available. How do it get it?

How can I get the update. I used Pages today for the first time (Microsoft Word was acting up) and I'd like to get the update since this one is old. My Macbook Pro is a 2015 model.

Pages 5.6.2 is the most recent version of Pages that will work with OS X 10.ii.6 (El Capitan). If you have not updated your Mac's operating system since Pages was installed, newer versions will not ve available to you.

The current version of Pages, which is the only version whose installer is currently available at the Mac App Store, requires macOS 11 (Big Sur, which may or may not be compatible with your MBPro.

Note, too, that Big Sur is a 64bit OS, and does not support 32bit applications, meaning some of the 'legacy' applications currently on your Mc will not run after the OS update.
