Dead MacBook M1 after Using USB-C Multiport Hub Adapters/Docks

Apple should not blame 3rd party hubs, but admit that it is their fault.

Ugly_iOS7, I would really appreciate it if you could please share the outcome with us. I'm overseas and it is very inconvenient process if the MacBook Air breaks again.

I got the Satechi with 3 USB hubs. It runs hot. So far, nothing's fried, but it's risky. I agree with an earlier post, the problem is the lack of ports on the Air. Heads up, Apple!

I got the Satechi with 3 USB ports, HDMI, Ethernet. It ran hot. I haven't tried reconnecting. How's it going for you?

I've used a VANMASS 9-in-one hub with Power Delivery for 2019 MacBook Pro and befores. No issues before 11.2.2 or afterwards.

It does run hot, but it did so with my older 2015 Intel MBP, ran for 3 years with no problems.

I see several hubs with m2 ssd support has anyone tried one. I would like to do a hub test during the return period.

What if I use the Apple usb c hub?

I read somewhere one person claiming the apple PD hub killed a MacBook Pro.

My MacBook Air M1 died when using it with an Aukey USB-C hub with power delivery. It just turned off when I unplugged the power cable and made clicking noises. Apple replaced the logic board and display but I'm afraid to use the USB-C ports now.

When the Mac was returned to me, I bought the official Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter, hoping that I'd be safe with that but then I read of people with that adapter having their MacBooks bricked too. So, I don't know what to do other than not using any hub at all.
