Cannot delete app only remove from home screen

I have an iPhone 11 running ios 14.3. I am trying to remove (so I can reload) the Bose Music app. When I press on the icon I get three options "remove the app (in red), Share App, and Edit Home Screen. When I select "Remove App" I get only two options. Remove from Home Screen" and Cancel. If I select "remove" the app icon gets removed from the home screen but remains on my phone. The icon remains in the app library. If I press hard on the app in the app library, I get two options - Share App and Add to Home Screen.

I really need to permanently delete this app and reload it as I am having problems connecting my Bose soundbar to my home network and I can only do it via the Bose app which is not working properly.

Anybody have a way to delete this app?

Thank you in advance.

I finally figured this out. To delete an app I had to go to Settings-Screen Time-Content & Privacy-Itunes&App Store Purchases-Deleting Apps - AND MARK ALLOW. I hope this helps.

Thank you for posting this. I ran into the same issue! I just went in and fixed it. Now… there are a couple of apps I was trying to uninstall and reinstall. Before this fix, I only removed them from my Home Screen, but they’re still on my phone. How do I get them back on my Home Screen? Or delete them completely from the settings list so I can reinstall? Hope that makes sense.
