Cannot delete app only remove from home screen

App will not delete even thoug I did what you told me

Thank you for posting this. I ran into the same issue! I just went in and fixed it. Now… there are a couple of apps I was trying to uninstall and reinstall. Before this fix, I only removed them from my Home Screen, but they’re still on my phone. How do I get them back on my Home Screen? Or delete them completely from the settings list so I can reinstall? Hope that makes sense.

Why does apple do dumb **** like this out of the box? Thank you so much I have owned this iPhone 12 Pro Max for a little over a year and haven’t been able to figure that out. Your amazing!

I appreciate the direction and it made sense. I had assumed there must be some setting that was blocking me. However, I don't find any such button to allow deleting purchased apps. I have an I-phone 12 using IOS 14.7.1

Is there a different location for this setting on my phone. I can't find it.
