Lasso tool in notes

Hello, I’m having trouble with the lasso tool in notes. When using both my finger and Apple Pencil, the tool is offset several inches from where I’m actually making contact on the note. It’s very frustrating because there are portions of the note I can’t access with the lasso as I can only move so far in one direction. Also, holding down and dragging function is not working, so lasso is totally useless right now, but I really need it. I don’t think my screen calibration is off, this is the only problem I’m having in notes (other than losing the magnifying function) if anyone knows how to fix this, thanks!

I feel pretty silly but I figured out the issue in my case soon after posting. I had split screen, with Notes open and photos at the same time. As soon I went to single page Notes app, the issue was gone. So it looks like the lasso tool is not supported in multi-view. Hope that's your issue as well, as it easily resolved.

We understand you are experiencing an issue with your drawing tools in the Notes app and we're happy to help. Let's make sure the iPad software is up to date by checking for available updates using the steps here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also, if you are using a screen protector or protective case, does removing it resolve the issue?

Lastly, does the same issue occur after restarting the iPad using the steps here: Restart your iPad

Yeah, I figured that out a little while after as well. But this is for sure a NEW problem. I split my screen for notes and school every day and the lasso is a major part of my workflow. I've never had this problem until last weekend. Apple, please fix this ASAP.

I have this problem too. There aren't any other problems with Apple Pencil, just this. And mine isn't "inches", it's just about half an inch lip all up to date and a restart had no effect.
