Using an Apple iPhone 8, can I connect to my iMac via wireless, without joining the internet

Using an iPhone 7 Plus or an iPhone 8, can transfer photos to my iMac WIRELESSLY without joining the internet?

Thanks Coco,

You are in High-Tech but I still remain in STEAM at 85 years old. Please, can I use an older iPhone like an iPhone 7Plus or an 8 only for the cameras and without signing up for the internet, just so I can get good pictures to transfer to my iMac and/or to my wife's Apple Laptop?

Hi Print Smith,

Maybe you can use a USB cable to contact your Apple iPhone 8 with the iMac. or use the Network sharing app.

Then you can use the Phone 8 to connect to your iMac via wireless.

If I purchase an Apple iPhone 7Plus or an iPhone 8, can I just use it to take photographs to transfer to my iMac 27" or to my Apple Laptop WITHOUT JOINING THE INTERNET?
