HP deskjet connection
I have a new MacBook pro with the M1 chip and macOS Big Sur. I've tried to connect to my HP deskjet 1515 but, whilst the computer can see it, it won't print or scan

Hey there vivienne2009,
Based on your post it sounds like you're having trouble printing using your HP printer in macOS. We'll be happy to help advise.
Since adding your printer have you tried restarting both devices to see if that helps?
Have you checked to make sure you have the latest software and printer drivers installed for the printer?

Cheers!
how are you connecting this Printer to your Mac?
Do you get an error message?
There is no error message. I get as far as adding the printer and the print preview shows, but when I press 'print' nothing happens and there is nothing in the print queue. I have tried re-installing the printer software but it doesn't help
Yes, I've restarted everything. I don' think it is a problem with macOS Big Sur because i updated my old MacBook Air and the printer still works with that. Could b the new MacBook pro itself?
Hi, I also have MacBook air with an m1 chip and I'm kinda worried to install my hp deskjet printer 2010 because of a compatibility issue I guess that might ruin my mac.
