HP deskjet connection

I have a new MacBook pro with the M1 chip and macOS Big Sur. I've tried to connect to my HP deskjet 1515 but, whilst the computer can see it, it won't print or scan

Hey there vivienne2009,

Based on your post it sounds like you're having trouble printing using your HP printer in macOS. We'll be happy to help advise.

Since adding your printer have you tried restarting both devices to see if that helps?

Have you checked to make sure you have the latest software and printer drivers installed for the printer?

Take a look at the steps listed in the article below. Let us know if you continue to run into complications.

Cheers!
