It sounds like you're having an issue with Face ID not working on your iPhone.
First lets make sure that your iPhone is running the latest iOS software:
Then review the steps listed here:
If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro
Check to see that the iPhone is in ring mode:
How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode
Do you have Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions currently enabled?
If so, are you able to temporarily disable Content & Privacy Restrictions? Then restart the device and attempt to reenroll in Face ID once again.
Restart the device.
Attempt to enroll in Face ID for at least a full minute

I Enabled and then disabled the “content and privacy restrictions “ , restarted the phone
it worked out 👍
