Homepod setup failure with 300208 error.

I get this error after setup fails, but cannot find any reference to it online. I had it connected to my iPhone x, but had problems with it not recognising the wifi when wanting to switch to my new iPhone 12.


I reset the Homepod, uninstalled and reinstalled the Music and Home apps, restarted the phone and homepod, signed in and out of my iCloud account. Nothing worked.


Does anyone know what the error relates to and how to fix it?

I managed to resolve the issue by deleting the Home from the HomeApp. The Home was setup using the iPhone X and not the iPhone 12. Deleting the Home then adding the HomePod as new device resolved the issue.
