DO NOT DISTURB DOES NOT MUTE NOTIFICATIONS

Ever since I updated to Big Sur, DO NOT DISTURB has been broken. I continue to get notification sounds when I have this enabled. I have tried to turn off each app's notifications, but I still get sound notifications constantly.

I do not understand why this is an issue. If anyone else knows of a way to fix this (other than turning the speakers to silent which isn't possible if you are trying to watch a video or listen to a lecture) please let me know.

Hopefully this will be addressed ASAP as it is honestly making me want to downgrade to the old OS.

Hello jgw1234,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

Based on what you mentioned, you don't want sounds for notifications, and Do Not disturb is not working as expected. For this concern, take a look a this information: Use notifications on your Mac.

If you still have trouble, you may be able to get help where you are when you Contact Apple for support and service.

Best wishes!

This does not help, and is simply advice on how to enact Do Not Disturb - if the users problem above is the same as mine, where you can not adjust the 'to' option to anything other than midnight, then this is indeed a Big Sur issue as it does not occur on the previous OSX (confirmed through other system config).

Be great to get a bug fix for this—these beeps and such wake my child up all the time if I don't forget to shut it off!!

Thanks.
