We see that you're not seeing notifications from a specific contact. We'd be happy to provide some info that may help.
First, could you please verify if your iPhone is currently up to date? This will help with checking: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If so, you'll want to check to see if you have notifications for that contact muted. This link can help with where to check that: Leave a group text on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
